MEALS ON WHEELS NEEDS VOLUNTEER DRIVERS - Ongoing Volunteer Opportunity

Have One Hour? Brighten a Senior’s Day!

Meals on Wheels serves 400 meals daily to homebound Seniors in Oak Lawn, Evergreen Park, Hometown and other south suburbs. We are in need of volunteer drivers for 1 to 5 days per week in the early morning. Meals are distributed from Our Lady of Loretto, 8925 South Kostner, in Hometown.

If you have questions or would like to adopt a route call Jennifer Owens at 708-422-5180.
Mileage reimbursed. Routes 9 am to 1 pm.

KNITTING AND MORE! - Thursday Mornings

Join us at Worth Township for fun conversation and good company while working on your favorite stitching project. Share tips, get new ideas and enjoy a cup of coffee. Knitting, Plastic Canvas, Crochet, Embroidery, Cross Stitch, Latch Hook.

AUTISM ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM - Ongoing Program

St. Coletta’s of Illinois (aka the Kennedy School) in Tinley Park now has an Autism Engagement Program. It provides structured, meaningful tasks on a daily schedule tailored to each individual.

Activities include Life Skills, Art Exploration, Sensory Engagement, Gym/Fitness and Community Outings each weekday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.

ALZHEIMER'S FAMILY CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUPS - 1st Tuesday of each Month

On the first Tuesday of each month a support group, for family members caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease, will meet at the Oak Lawn Library from 7 to 8 pm.

Come learn more about Alzheimer’s Disease and how together we can better manage the difficult role of caregiver.

DIVORCE AND BEYOND PROGRAM - RECOVERY AND HEALING FOR THE DIVORCED - Ongoing Event

This program helps bring healing for those who are divorced or who have already filed for divorce. Each meeting focuses on a different aspect of the divorce healing process such as grief, stress, anger, blame, etc. The program includes education, discussion and prayer. Former program participants help facilitate the program and are available for support.

The program is held at various places and times throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago.
