Do you feel a calling to be an Extraordinary Minister of Communion or Lector?
Each one of us is called to serve our Lord and grow His church here on earth, and perhaps you’re being called to serve at our Masses as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist or a Lector. Our Vicariate V Ministry Commission for the Archdiocese of Chicago is offering Liturgical Training for Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist and Lectors.
These sessions provide training and formation for Liturgical Ministers and will be guided by Dr. Elizabeth-Anne Stewart. ALL trainees must attend the session on Tuesday, February 10; topics will include scripture, an overview of the liturgy, and discerning the call to liturgical ministry. On Wednesday, February 11, through prayer, reflection, and practice, participants will explore what it means to serve as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. On Thursday, February 12, participants will learn the theological and practical skills necessary to proclaim the Word and serve as a Lector at Mass.
