Do you feel a calling to be an Extraordinary Minister of Communion or Lector?
Each one of us is called to serve our Lord and grow His church here on earth, and perhaps you’re being called to serve at our Masses as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist or a Lector. Our Vicariate V Ministry Commission for the Archdiocese of Chicago is offering Liturgy Training for Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist and Lectors.
Sessions will be held Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, – October 9, 11 and 12 – from 7 to 9 PM at Incarnation-St. Terrence Church, 5757 W. 127th St., Crestwood.
- ALL attend Monday evening’s session on the scriptural foundation and the overview of the liturgy.
- Training for Lectors will take place on Wednesday. Participants will learn the theological and practical skills necessary to proclaim the Word and serve as a Lector at Mass.
- Training for Eucharistic Ministers will take place Thursday through prayer, reflection and practice. Participants will explore what it means to serve as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist.
