These students have been Caught being Kind, and receive this wonderful distinction.
Congratulations!

Congratulations to this month's Reading iReady leaders!
Our Eighth Grade was led by Julia Bishop with 11 completed Reading lessons!
Also congratulations to Will Emmons and Gianna Gute for completing ALL the Reading lessons!

In Reading, the students in Ms. Anderson's 2nd Grade Class
are learning how to find details that support a fact.

During class, students had to read and listen to a variety of facts and details.
They then had to find the classmate who had their coordinating information.
Here are two students with information about an octopus.

We celebrated our veterans with another outstanding Veterans’ Assembly!
From the posting of the flags, to the recognition of Veterans,
to the students singing patriotic songs it was all beautifully done.

Our K-3 Students attended a musical performance
of Peter and the Wolf at Moraine Valley College.

The students were asked to submit art work matching the story to be used during the performance.
There was an orchestra, puppets, art work and audience participation.

Our PreK Students had the opportunity to see
The Three Little Pigs at the Beverly Art Center!

They had a wonderful time seeing live theatre and riding a bus for the first time!
It was so great to go on a field trip!

Here are our 8th Graders in the Old State Capitol during their trip to Springfield!
This is a great trip where are students get to learn about the history
of our great state and especially Lincoln’s History.

Our 4th Grade Students made solar ovens in Science Class!
They used the ovens to cook up some delish mini hot dogs!
What a great STEM activity!

Our 7th Grade Girls’ Basketball Team are the Southwest Conference champs!
They were undefeated in the league. Congratulations to our Hawks!

Here is Mason Little from 1st Grade Room 14

Another successful Turkey Trot in the books!
We had a record number 417 registered runners!
Thanks to all who joined us Saturday morning despite the rain and wind!
Thank you St. Linus community for another wonderful event.

Eighth Grade acted as peer editors for Fourth Grade
when Mr. Miller brought his students up to the Junior High.

They were happy to offer some helpful suggestions and guidance
as the fourth graders wrote about places, people, and events they'd like to see in history!
Great job, student writers and editors!
