Our 6th grade soccer team had a great season and finished in 2nd Place for the year!
They played a good game at St. Rita and lost in a close one!
Congratulations 6th grade. We look forward to next year.

Great things continue to be happening at St. Linus.
Thanks to your continued generosity we are maintaining and adding to our school.
Tom is seen painting the hallway of the Junior High and Gus is installing
our new BrightLink and interactive white board in one of 8 classrooms this summer.

One of our very own 1st graders Lorenzo Kelly found time this summer to help our
Gardening Club make the grounds look beautiful. Here he is with Dick Kress
and other wonderful members of the Club working on the area around the Holy Family Statue!
Thank you all for all you do for St. Linus Parish and School.

The class of 2017! The first picture of our newest 8th grade class!
They had a great time at their last “End of Year Picnic”.
They played softball, ate hot dogs, got their faces painted and played with the younger students.
It was a perfect day weather wise and a great way to end the year!

Our 4th grade soccer team finished the year strong.
They came in 1st place in their division winning in a hard fought shoot out after triple overtime!
This is the goalie, Ryan Talty, being hoisted above the crowd after winning the shoot out!

Our 8th grade soccer team also came in 1st place in their Division.
The championship game was played at Marist High School and our team
certainly knew how to close out the year. This team has had a good run these last three years.
Winning the Gold Ball this year was the icing on the cake! Congratulations Team!!!!

On the last day of school our wonderful FTC threw us a fun-filled picnic.
The picnic came with jumpies, face painting, hockey, softball, hotdogs and great times!
A gigantic THANK YOU to all the moms and dads who made this picnic a success.
Stay tuned for more pictures throughout the summer.

After 34 wonderful years St. Linus’ very own Mrs. McGovern has retired.
Mrs. McGovern raised her family in St. Linus and taught here since 1982. Thank you for everything.
We will miss you but as you said we can see you in church.

St. Linus student George Partin III, had the opportunity to visit the CBS-Chicago Studio
to meet CBS meteorologist Ed Curran on Saturday morning June 4th.
The soon to be 6th grader interviewed Curran and sampled the weather technology
as he works on his weather merit badge for Scouts! Way to go George!

Our sixth graders participated in the EDGE program through the Oak Lawn police department.
The program teaches the students how to recognize and avoid gangs and gang activity!

The Third Grade field trip to The Naper Settlement was a step back into the 19th century!

Our 1st grade classes went on a Treasure Hunt field trip around the neighborhood.
A good time was had by all and the rain did not hit until they returned to school.
This is a favorite trip of many past 1st graders.
