Congratulations to our Deacon Bob Cislo
Our Deacon Bob Cislo and senior Hannah Brennan were named the 2018 recipients of the Catherine McAuley Award. Mother McAuley High School bestows the award on a student and faculty member who demonstrate a deep faith and commitment to the school and the students which inspires their coworkers, students and family members to be better stewards of Catherine’s vision.
Deacon Cislo has been ordained for 8 years here at St. Linus. Besides serving us so well, at Mother McAuley he has led the community in prayer hundreds of times. He is the creator and moderator of the Respect Life Club. He has organized and led the March for Life trip to Washington, DC and in Chicago. Deacon Cislo teaches adults in the Lay Ministry Program at St. Xavier University and serves as facilitator at parishes for the Renew My Church initiative.
“A quote by Catherine McAuley, which hangs in my classroom and inspires me daily is this one: ‘The simplest and most practical lesson I know... is to resolve to be good today, but better tomorrow.’”
