Nine years ago, the families in our community came together to prepare a long term plan for maintaining the viability and success of St. Linus School. Our goal was to ensure that local students had access to a quality, affordable, faith-based education. We hoped to preserve the outstanding reputation of St. Linus School in an uncertain economy. We rallied our friends, neighbors, and business partners to come together to support St. Linus. The idea of Hawktoberfest, a large, fall-themed, community festival was created, and we were off and running.
Eight years later, we have raised over $160,000. Our school is thriving, our students are challenged academically and spiritually, and we are looking forward to a long and successful future. The funds generated from Hawktoberfest have helped solidify St. Linus as a long standing southwest suburban institution that is committed to our students, our community and the future of Oak Lawn.
Thank you for continually supporting our school, our families and especially our students, not only with Hawktoberfest, but through parish and school activities throughout the year.
